Genuine Moonstone Tear Drop Shaped Stone Sterling Silver Ring.  Moonstone is a variety of the feldspar-group mineral orthoclase. During formation, orthoclase and albite separate into alternating layers. When light falls between these thin layers, it is scattered producing the phenomenon called adularescence. Adularescence is the light that appears to billow across a gem.  Ancient cultures coveted moonstones; many believed the stone was created from moonbeams.  Moonstone is thought to bring the wearer good fortune, and feelings of love and affection.  The face height of this ring measures 18.2 mm.   This ring is currently out-of-stock in Sizes 7, 8, and 9.  We will update this when those rings become available.
