Peace Dollar Silver Coin Ring with 5 Gemstones (1921-1935)

SKU: 555215376135275

This beautiful ring is made from a Peace Silver Dollar, (1921-1935).  This Peace Dollar Silver Coin Ring has 5 Gemstones flush set in a row on the front of the ring.  The center stone is a 3 mm Amethyst, two 2 mm Swaroski Kashmir Blue Topaz, and two 2 mm Rhodolite, (end stones).   The ring has been made with the "Fat Tire Look" Coin Ring style, which means the ring is made in the traditional coin folding method.   The "Fat Tire Look," makes the ring appear more rounded, and the inside of the ring has been polished to make wearing it more comfortable.  It has been antiqued to show off the amazing detail in the coin and has been made with heads side out.  The last two pictures show a Peace Silver Dollar head's side and tails side of the coin before it was made into a ring.

The 2 mm Swarovski Gemstone Kashmir BlueTopaz that is set in this ring is no longer available. We have this ring in stock, but after this one sells, we will have to substitute the Gemstone in this ring with a different one.

History of United States Peace Silver Dollar

Of all the dollar coins ever produced by The United States Mint, the Peace dollar is one of the most recognized.  The Peace dollar design was the result of a competition to design a coin that was symbolic of peace after the First World War.  The Peace dollar’s head's side depicts the head and neck of the Goddess Liberty. She is in the profile position with flowing hair and a radiant crown on her head. The reverse features the iconic bald eagle at rest clutching an olive branch. The bald eagle is sitting on a perch with rays of sunlight in the background. The word “PEACE” is inscribed along the bottom edge of the reverse side. The top edge of the reverse features the inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E. PLURIBUS UNUM” and the phrase “ONE DOLLAR.”
